Philadelphia International Flower Show!!

At the beginning of March Kent and I went to the temple in Philadelphia. Afterwards we went to the first day of the International Flower Show at the Philadelphia Convention Center.
Here's a picture of the crowds, so it was a very popular destination!
It was very amazing how they had brought in so many plants.
It was like an indoor garden.
Some areas looked like formal gardens and other areas looked like wildflower meadows.
There was a log building with a water wheel,
and some cute little gardening sheds.
On the ceiling there was a hanging meadow!

We also got to watch floral designers from around the world create designs
to be judged in the floral world cup.
The floral designer from Australia was the winner,
but I don't think I took any pictures of his arrangements.
There were also other smaller floral designs that were judged.
These were a few of my favorites.

The pictures we took can't really show the amazingness of the displays!

Since Kent is the gardener in the family, he really enjoyed seeing all the different plants and flowers.
We had one more stop before our day was over in Philadelphia--the National Constitution Center.
It was a nice museum, but it didn't have many displays to see.

I liked the quote below by George Washington.
Truly Heavenly Father raised up some amazing men 250 years ago to help form the Constitution and our great nation, and much of that history happened in Philadelphia!
