We found some reasonably priced tickets to Houston over the President's day holiday in February, so we snatched them up since we hadn't visited the Stinsons since July of 2016. One of the first things we was to go to the elementary school and have lunch with Savannah--
(Granddad LOVES ice cream!)and then had lunch with Kiera a bit later.
That night was the Katy rodeo, and it was the first rodeo Kent had ever been to! It wasn't my first rodeo, however, since I lived in Montana for three years.
A picture of the rodeo royalty on their horses.
One of the fun things about this rodeo is letting the younger children have a stick horse race. It will be Savannah's last year since she's five, and that's the oldest a child can be to race. Daddy was there to give her moral support.
Kiera and Savannah got this stylish princess-mobile for Christmas,
so they took it out for a spin in the cul-de-sac. Kiera did a very good job of driving it.One afternoon Kent took the girls to the fishing pond. They didn't catch anything.
Walking home from the fishing pond.
The girls after church on Sunday.
Building a 3-D puzzle of the White House with Kiera.
Granddad reading "The Bike Lesson" to Savannah.
Kiera wanted me to help her learn to play "Hallelujah" on the piano, so I brought some music for her. She learned it very quickly!
We had a fun time in Katy!
